Math Team

Math team is a competition team that solves math problems. I'm also in math team. The problem on the left is really really exaggerated and so we don't solve those problems. For Freshman, the topic is about algebra. For Sophomores, the topic is geometry. For Juniors, the topic is algebra II. For seniors, the topic is pre-calculus. It's not like a team that kicks people out if you suck but rather a team that is suppose to promote math and learn more about math. So, even if you suck, lots of people come and improve their skills. It's also a fun place because you get to go to restaurants with your friends and eat and talk with your friends. When it becomes state competition, it becomes even more fun because it's now a group work problem solving so people can help you out. We even go on a trip to U of I and sleep over for one day and play with your friends. Last time I went, I stayed up playing Egyptian rat-screw. SO JOIN MATH TEAM!!!!

As a member of math team, I would have to agree that math team is a lot more than just what it seems to be to most people, boring math. In between all the math, there is a lot of bonding that goes on between members of the team. We are just that, a team, just playing a different kind of sport.

I'm not a member of math team because I don't have much free time, but it sounds like lots of fun. Keep up the good work!

Being on math team is a huge accomplishment. Many people dismiss it as "boring math" and something that isn't fun at all, but if y ou really have an aptitude for it, I admire you for becoming more involved in what you are good at. Math team is extremely impressive and I am always dumbfounded for the problem solving skills you all have. Keep it up and keep challenging yourself!

I totally agree. It is something that is hard but enjoyable at the same time.
